Sara T. Maggitti, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist


Dr. Sara T. Maggitti is the former Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Cabrini University, where she served for fifteen years. Before her time at Cabrini, she was a staff psychologist at The Johns Hopkins University, providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in a university counseling center and teaching psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels for nine years. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in private practice for eight years, specializing in the treatment of young adults and the college student population. Her career spans nearly twenty years in higher education and includes work across a range of mental health settings. Dr. Maggitti earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University, where she was a Division I student-athlete and team captain in field hockey, receiving all-conference honors. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland. She is active in the community and currently serves as a Trustee for the Bryn Mawr Hospital Women’s Board. A lifelong sports lover, she continues to play field hockey, golf, and racquet sports, which she most enjoys sharing with her husband and two sons.
